Titles are intended to give players recognition for extraordinary achievements. Some titles are associated with a player's account, such as "champion," which recognizes your achievements in guild-versus-guild combat

Thank god now playing GvG a lot for my guild is going to pay off.
I am the only one who thinks these new "titles" are good so people won't judge you JUST by your rank.
I'm guessing there are more then just those examples used so relax and wait and see what we get.

Everyone was new to the game at some point, including those of us who currently have titles.

Not sure I like the PvP titles. IMHO they should have used the ones from 'Elite'
R0 Harmless
R1 Mostly Harmless etc...

I know, but the fact that everyone thinks that a warrior under rank 1 sucks, is just blasphemous (sp)

I'm disappointed in the title system by 2 things:
1. I think 90 is way too high of a number for an initial title for gettting elite skills. 50 or 60 makes much more sense to me (for an INITIAL title) - as you'd have to change secondaries even to get that many.
2. The title attached to mission completitons is dependant upon completing ALL bonus missions along with the primary missions. I would think that it should be a two-tiered title, one for all Missions & then another for all Bonuses. (After all, there should be something more of a reward for completing the story line than a free trip from Hell's Precipice to Droknar's Forge!)

Ok i'm just drinking now to pass the time till i go out. The ingame timer really does suck.
Comparing Windows' clock to the drunken timer. Every minute you spend drunk is compared to 2 minutes IRL. So not only are you spending well over 200k to get this title, its going to take about 34hours.

First of all: Capping every elite can be a big challenge for those who have done all missions, finished all quests etc. NEWSFLASH: Some people's idea of fun is to be challenged!
Second: Capping every elite actually isn't such a bad idea. You never know when someone comes up with an AWESOME build which works like a charm, but that features the most absurd elite as its backbone. Hey! Maybe even YOU will come up with a build like that some time!

Why?
PvE is quite easy, and if you look at the PvP Rank system, it's way harder to get to Rank 12 or even 9 then getting something like this completed. It takes time, but that's what most true PvE'ers want; a time taking goal in PvE.

Yep, it takes a long time to get to rank 12. But a person can get to rank 1 in a week (or less), and for achieving that - they get a title. (My issue with these has nothing to do with difficulty) With these two categories, it seems like a bit of an inequity when compared to the other title tracks: Explore 60% of Tyria - get a title, get rank 1, get a title, etc.
As for what true PvE'ers want, I can safely say AS ONE, that goals that take time are all well and good, but ones that bog a person down get to be a drag & hardly worth the effort.
